Citizens Diplomat Academy (Summer 2022) - The Future of International Expositions and the United States Role in them

 

​GROUND BREAKING ORAL HISTORY PROJECT (Philadelphia / Dubai)

Led by Citizens Diplomats of Philadelphia

The discussion forum will include conversations around:

  • EXPO 2020

  • Centennial Innovations

 

We’ll discuss how we bring Expos back to the United States and do so in a more inclusive way that highlights our country’s diversity as a strength of our democracy. The event will also feature voices from the U.S. Department of State and U.S. citizens who recently took part in the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.​

The Citizen Diplomat Academy is a free, virtual, international exchange program for high school and university students in Philadelphia and abroad who are interested in addressing the world's most pressing challenges.

Community Over Competition - International Hip Hop Forum (Every Month)

The discussion forum will include conversations around:

  • Artistic and Cultural Growth

  • Strengthen Community Fabric

  • Create a Music Ecosystem

The purpose is to create opportunities for networking, mentoring and education in order to build relationships and trust within the music community. To Seek consensus on common issues that will deliver benefits across the sector. Address issues of conflict and competition behind closed doors in order to present a united front. When crisis occurs us that to build support for sustainable music advocacy organizations and sustained engagement. Develop strong relationships

Past Events

  • Monday, June 13, 2016 - July 1, 2016 Hip Hop University Atlanta kicked off. Special Guests included DJ Knotts of Hip-Hop Gives Back, Deniro Farrar and more.

 

  • Friday, July 29, 2016 Hip Hop University presented the Tech & Hip Hop Symposium, a presentation & think tank discussion designed to tap into the power of combining knowledge from Charlotte’s tech, nonprofit and cultural sectors to tackle the challenges of closing the digital divide and increasing economic mobility.

  • Saturday, July 30, 2016 Hip Hop University presented the Digital Hip Hop summit at Johnson C. Smith University.
